NUTRO 10 - EINE NUTROSPEKTIVE

The collective nutrospektif has been a Factory Artist at tanzhaus nrw from 2020 - 2022 and was celebrating its tenth anniversary with NUTRO 10. This anniversary was the occasion for nutrospektive and an invitation to join the celebration! The audience experienced a reflective and dynamic portrait, inspired by the collective's history: a narrative about a collective search for identity and the power of self-empowerment in the tension between urban dance cultures and artistic vision. For the five dance artists, consciously observing their inner core (nutro) and repeatedly adopting the perspective of their own dance-cultural identity as a means of artistic creation is essential.

"Who are you, nutrospektif?" – During a two-week residency at tanzhaus nrw, the collective embarked on a process of reflection on its ten-year history and shared this with the audience in a celebration enriched by performative, interactive, and communicative elements. From retrospective to perspective to prospective! In a multidisciplinary way, fragments of past works, educational sketches, experimental working methods, activist goals, and research designs repeatedly emerge in this performative party. From the perspective of the individual artists, the collective examined their shared development and invited the audience to participate. There certainly was cake and surprises by invited guests.
